PROASTIO

Proastio is a beautiful village on a plateau above the main road between Kardamyli and Stoupa . (Plot marked in yellow)

The discovery of a Mycenaean Tomb carved into the sandstone is evidence of a long history.

The beautiful Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches - of which there are more than forty in the village - are evidence of continuous long settlement.

Driving east towards Exochori, the site is just above the road.

As you get closer, you can see the site on the forward slope of a curving hillside giving wonderful views to the North, West and South.

We have a site of 7.200m2 - divided into 2 plots of 2.2 m2 and 5.0m2 -ready to build on, at a distance of less than 800m from the centre of Proastio. The site has water and electricity already. The site opens like an ancient theatre towards the west, with a panoramic view overlooking parts of the village and the sea.

There are about 60 olive trees on the plot but about 200 years ago the land was cultivated with grapevines. The stone troughs carved in the rock in the neighbourhood were used to press the grapes.
